I started training mma to be more confident as a father and from there it's spiraled into where I am 7 years later. Wrestling background but I prefer to keep things on the feet [Interview 2026-06-19] Lost 120–130 lbs through MMA after being inspired by an older brother (9–10 years his senior) who competed first — then got younger brother Zach into it too. Former multi-sport athlete (baseball, football, wrestling) who carried both into college before academics didn't pan out. Got his first informal coaching from Danny Molina at Nissan of Omaha, which has an in-house sparring room; was offered free training there but felt too intimidated by the UFC-level talent. Trained at Evolve MMA under Tim Baser before moving to United Kickboxing and MMA (Papillion) with coaches Josh Craichy and Cody Land. Native American — Winnebago Ho-Chunk tribe, same tribe as opponent Gabe Trinidad (June 27, DCS 109). Fights to earn respect and to be a superhero in his daughter's eyes; his daughter watched old fight footage and didn't recognize him at his heavier weight. First fight win: key lock vs. Troy Graham. Long-term goal: turn pro (originally dreamed of pro baseball). Nickname: Crazy Bear. Trains alongside teammate Wyatt; Cody Land also competing on same DCS 109 card.
